Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Cost Management:

Assist with cost estimates, budgets, cost plans, and cash flow forecasts.

Documentation:

Help prepare BOQs, tender documents, progress claims, and financial reports (e.g., Cost/Value Reports).

Procurement:

Support in sourcing, negotiating, and appointing subcontractors and suppliers.

Site Support:

Conduct site visits, measure finished works, check material quantities, and verify subcontractor invoices.

Reporting:

Monitor project progress, report variations, and help prepare monthly and final accounts.

Liaison:

Communicate with clients, site managers, architects, and other project team members.

Analysis:

Review project plans, specifications, and contracts for cost-effective solutions (value engineering).
Typical Requirements

Education:

A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience:

Some construction site or consultancy experience (often 0-2 years).

Skills:

Strong numeracy, communication (written/verbal), attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Attributes:

Ability to work in a team, take initiative, and develop commercial acumen.
