Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented

Junior Procurement Engineer

with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in the UAE construction industry. The ideal candidate will assist in the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for various construction projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with project specifications and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials and equipment based on project requirements Prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs) to approved vendors and subcontractors Evaluate quotations, analyze price comparisons, and prepare technical and commercial comparison sheets Coordinate with project, engineering, and planning teams to ensure material specifications match project needs Track purchase orders, deliveries, and vendor performance Maintain procurement logs and ensure timely updates to the procurement tracker Assist in negotiating payment terms, delivery timelines, and warranties with suppliers Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures Support the preparation of procurement reports and documentation for internal and external audits Maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field 1 to 2 years of procurement experience in the

UAE construction industry

Knowledge of construction materials, MEP items, and equipment Familiarity with UAE supplier markets and construction procurement regulations Good understanding of procurement documentation (BOQ, PO, RFQ, etc.) Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and procurement software/ERP systems Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in procurement for civil/infrastructure/building projects Familiarity with FIDIC and UAE contract procedures Driving license is a plus
