Job Summary:

We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented

Junior Commercial Engineer

with 3 to 5 years of proven experience in the

UAE construction industry

. The successful candidate will support the commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects, including quantity surveying, cost control, invoicing, and documentation. A valid UAE

driving license is preferred

due to the requirement for site visits and supplier coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and management of project budgets, cost estimates, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) Conduct quantity take-offs and verify site measurements against drawings and contracts Support tendering and bidding processes including preparation of commercial offers Prepare and submit interim and final payment applications to clients and subcontractors Track project costs, material expenses, and subcontractor payments Prepare and maintain records of variations, claims, and commercial correspondence Coordinate with site engineers, procurement teams, and subcontractors to ensure cost control and timely execution Participate in contract administration and compliance reviews Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, validate work done, and support billing accuracy Generate periodic commercial and cost reports for internal management review

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field 3 to 5 years of commercial/contractual experience in the UAE construction industry Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel), AutoCAD, and quantity surveying software (e.g., Planswift, Bluebeam, CostX) Strong knowledge of local construction practices, commercial terms, and UAE contractual norms Familiarity with FIDIC and other standard forms of contract Good analytical, negotiation, and communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

UAE driving license (preferred)

for site and supplier visits

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience handling both infrastructure and building projects Experience in managing subcontractor contracts and procurement support
