Job Summary: We are seeking a Junior Accountant-Insurance to join our growing team. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks related to our insurance operations. This is an entry-level position that offers the opportunity for growth and development within our organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for our insurance operations
- Prepare and process insurance premiums, claims, and other financial transactions
- Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts for insurance operations
- Monitor and analyze insurance expenses and report on any variances
- Participate in the annual audit process and provide support for audit requests
- Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and accounting standards related to insurance operations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Handle any ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the insurance industry
- Working knowledge of accounting principles and regulations related to insurance operations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
