Position Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Accountant to support the firm's audit and financial services operations by managing client accounting functions, ensuring regulatory compliance, preparing reports, and assisting with audit documentation and execution. The role requires precision, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a professional team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain accurate financial records and prepare accounting reports for audit assignments
Assist in statutory audits, internal audits, and assurance assignments across various client sectors
Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local accounting standards
Conduct analytical procedures, variance analysis, and reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end closing processes for clients
Ensure compliance with relevant VAT and taxation regulations
Liaise with clients to gather necessary financial data and resolve queries
Contribute to developing efficient accounting systems and workflow improvements
Collaborate with audit teams to ensure timely completion of audit tasks
Qualifications
Mandatory: Inter CA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification (completed or partially qualified)
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in accounting or audit roles (preferably in an audit firm)
Strong understanding of IFRS, accounting principles, and local tax laws
Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, SAP) and MS Excel
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to manage multiple assignments with attention to detail and deadlines
Language Skills
English - spoken and written
