IT Technology Lead - FMCG, Dubai
Our client, a leading name in the FMCG sector are seeking an experienced IT Lead to head their local technology operations in Dubai. This role is ideal for a strategic technology professional with strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record in managing IT infrastructure, service delivery, and cybersecurity within a complex operational environment.
The IT Lead will serve as a key business partner, aligning local IT initiatives with global technology strategies while ensuring day-to-day IT operations run smoothly. The role also involves vendor management, team development, and driving technology-enabled innovation to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the local IT function, ensuring alignment with broader global technology strategies and standards
• Oversee the performance, availability, and support of all IT services through effective vendor management and service delivery frameworks
• Mentor and develop the local IT team, promoting accountability, performance, and professional growth
• Define and implement IT infrastructure strategies that adhere to enterprise architecture guidelines and operational compliance standards
• Drive the annual IT planning process, including budgeting, resource forecasting, and identifying efficiency improvements
• Establish and optimize internal support processes, ensuring high levels of user satisfaction across departments
• Act as a trusted advisor to local leadership on digital and technology matters, providing strategic input and insight
• Monitor the evolving technology landscape to identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and business agility
• Define and enforce SLAs with internal users and third-party vendors
• Lead issue resolution and manage escalations with urgency and transparency
• Ensure adherence to IT governance, data security, and compliance policies throughout all systems and operations

Skills & Experience Required:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• 5-10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with a focus on infrastructure, service delivery, and cybersecurity
• In-depth understanding of modern IT environments including cloud services, mobile platforms, and enterprise monitoring tools
• Proven experience across the full lifecycle of IT solutions, from planning and implementation to testing and optimization
• Strong knowledge of core business functions and the ability to align technology strategy accordingly
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, delivering results while fostering a collaborative, growth-oriented environment
• Clear and confident communicator with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences
• Adaptive mindset and ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Excellent stakeholder management and vendor negotiation skills
