Our client in Qatar is looking to hire an

IT Technician

.

Minimum Requirements

:

High school degree or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is preferred. 3+ years of experience in IT functions, including networking, security, and backups. Certification as IT Technician (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) is an advantage. Proficiency in Windows Server environments, application support, and knowledge of Internet Security and data privacy principles. Fluent in written and spoken English. Valid driving license. Strong understanding of diverse computer systems and networks. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

:


Provide first-level technical support for end-user incidents and requests, including computer setups, configurations, and access management. Maintain IT assets inventory and perform regular inventory checks. Monitor and log data backup checks, server room health, and UPS functionality. Conduct internal IT audits to ensure data protection and compliance with IT policies. Perform Disaster Recovery Procedure (DRP) testing regularly. Provide first-level support for ERP and company applications (e.g., Microsoft Navision, BI, HRMS, Citrix). Prepare monthly KPI and activity reports. Assist with special tasks such as software installations, Internet and network solutions, and access control requirements. Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, vendors, and shareholders to ensure smooth IT operations. Technical Skills : + Actual Experience and familiarization in usage of Network Management
+ Actual Experience and familiarization in usage of Back-up Tools
+ Actual Experience and familiarization in usage of Microsoft Dynamics NAV
Soft skills : + Assiduity and Reliability: we need a candidate that respects the timings and is highly professional.
+ The candidate should make himself available at all times (weekends, days off) as there are cases where IT involvement is mandatory and urgent.
+ Time management: working on different projects and prioritizing between them.
+ Frequent site visits to Messaied and Ras Laffan: candidate should be flexible and hold a valid driving license (not in the process of getting it).
+ Exposure to big companies is a great plus.
