The Role
We are looking for technically skilled candidates with good problem-solving ability for the position of IT Technician. The duties of an IT Technician include being a reference point for all IT related queries at the user level, responding to user needs in a timely manner and ensuring the optimal running of all systems, among other technical duties. IT Technicians are expected to display good interpersonal skills as they will interact with colleagues from various departments and executive levels. They are required to listen to their technical needs, understand their problems, and implement solutions to them. IT Technician Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability. \xe2\x80\xa2 Troubleshooting hardware and software issues. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensuring electrical safety standards are met. \xe2\x80\xa2 Repairing or replacing damaged hardware. \xe2\x80\xa2 Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers. \xe2\x80\xa2 Installing and upgrading anti-virus software to ensure security at the user level. \xe2\x80\xa2 Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware. \xe2\x80\xa2 Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting. \xe2\x80\xa2 Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues. \xe2\x80\xa2 Conducting daily backup operations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Managing technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science or related field. \xe2\x80\xa2 3+ years of experience in computer networks and systems maintenance. \xe2\x80\xa2 A+, Linux+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate accreditation advantageous. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience in Focus software is an advantage. \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent written and verbal communication skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good interpersonal skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficient in database programming and software installation. \xe2\x80\xa2 Attention to detail. \xe2\x80\xa2 Good problem-solving skills.
