Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and results-driven IT Project Manager with strong business acumen to lead strategic technology projects. This role is pivotal in translating complex technical requirements into actionable project plans and ensuring successful delivery on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will foster collaboration across functional teams and drive projects that enhance operational efficiency and support the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and develop comprehensive project plans including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation strategies. Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior management, ensuring effective communication and alignment of expectations. Risk and Issue Management: Identify potential project risks and issues, developing and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes. Resource Coordination: Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors to ensure seamless project execution and optimal resource utilization. Monitoring and Reporting: Track project progress using appropriate tools and techniques (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project), providing regular status updates and performance metrics to all stakeholders. Quality Assurance & Business Alignment: Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with organizational goals, focusing on the return on investment (ROI) and overall business impact. Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in project management methodologies and best practices across the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: Proven experience managing complex IT projects from initiation to completion, with at least 5 years in an IT project management role. Education: A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations, financial drivers, and the ability to link IT projects to broader business strategy and value creation. Methodologies: Expertise in project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, or hybrid approaches. Some knowledge or background information regarding the internal processes of government entities is preferred. Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges. Technical Knowledge: Foundational knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and current technologies (e.g., cloud platforms, ERP systems). Certifications (Preferred): Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are highly desirable
