The role involves maintaining IT infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and ensuring compliance with IT security standards. The IT Officer will also assist with system upgrades, vendor coordination, and IT project support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide first-line IT support to employees for hardware, software, and network issues.
Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, and related equipment.
Manage user accounts, email systems, and access controls.
Ensure systems are patched, updated, and secured according to IT policies.
Monitor network connectivity and escalate issues when required.
Maintain asset records and IT documentation.
Assist with backups, data recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
Liaise with vendors and service providers for IT procurements and support.
Support IT projects, upgrades, and rollouts as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
3-4 years' experience
in IT support or similar roles.
Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, MS Office, and desktop support.
Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills in English (verbal & written).
Desirable:
Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, CCNA, ITIL, or Microsoft certifications.
Experience with Active Directory, group policies, and user account management.
Exposure to enterprise IT service management tools (ticketing/monitoring).
Knowledge of cloud services (Microsoft 365, Azure, or Google Workspace).
