The Role

Job Purpose The primary role of IT Officer is to design, develop, oversee and maintain all aspects of a company's IT infrastructure. Roles and Responsibilities Maintain Computer Systems o From servers to security programs, review a company's computer systems to ensure that all aspects are operating efficiently. o Troubleshoot problems, configure hardware and software o Implement back up processes and assess systems for upgrades or replacement. o Ensure the efficient performance of servers, printers and personal computers, and attend to other operational tasks. Complete System Installs and Upgrades o Installs, configures, tests, maintains and administers new and upgraded networks, Software database applications, servers and workstations o Conduct consistent analyses of a company's computer systems to determine if existing components meet the company's need and perform upgrades or updates as needed. o Provides network programming in support of specific business needs and requirements. Manage Network Security o Assess security programs and decide which is best for the company for which they are employed. o Install and manage these systems, conduct updates, create passwords and run check for viruses and spyware. Oversee Data Storage and Retrieval Systems o Utilize effective backup systems and have in place data retrieval processes in the event of emergencies. Create and manage the use of backup and retrieval systems.



Requirements

Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role. o Experience in IT help desk Technical And Interpersonal Skills o Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving o Knowledge of Operating Systems and Software o Networking and Connectivity o Ticketing Systems and IT Service Management o Time Management and Multitasking o Customer Service Orientation Qualification o Bachelor degree in computer science or any relevant field.
