Job Description
Job Summary:
The IT Officer is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation of hardware, software, and network systems. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, providing user support, and implementing IT policies to enhance security and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: * IT Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Diagnose and resolve IT problems in a timely manner (desktops, laptops, printers, servers, etc.).
- Install, configure, and update operating systems, applications, and drivers.
- Network & System Administration:
- Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and Wi-Fi systems.
- Assist in server administration, backups, and disaster recovery processes.
- Ensure network security by implementing firewalls, antivirus, and access controls.
- Hardware & Software Management:
- Set up and maintain IT equipment (computers, servers, routers, switches, etc.).
- Manage software licenses and ensure compliance.
- Perform regular system updates and patches.
- User Training & Documentation:
- Train employees on IT systems, software, and security best practices.
- Maintain IT documentation, including system configurations, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
