Job Description

We are seeking an excellent IT manager to look after all technical components of a 5-star hotel in East Africa. Key attributes / Skills

• Prior African experience would be a distinct advantage
• Calm and collected in personality with excellent decision making skills
• Able to think on their feet - the city sometimes has logistical challenges and therefore the IT Manager must be a great planner who is able to improvise where needed
• Willing to go the extra mile and work long hours if required
• Must be holding a similar position in a reputable four or five star Hotel
• Must hold relevant international qualifications
• Must be able to assist with Audio/Video setups, configuration, event setting & maintenance.
• Assistance of guests with any Wi-Fi, computer/laptop/printer queries

The role requires knowledge and/or prior exposure to the following :

• PMS, POS, Material Management & Financial software - knowledge in Wishnet, Touche, Webprolific & Webpaytrax would be big plus
• Hotel network management.
• HP Server management & configuration - Windows OS.
• Firewall Fortinet management.
• Antlabs HSIA gateway & interface server management.
• Knowledge in Zyxel network controller.
• Knowledge in Veritas Backup Exec software & management.
• NAS storage management.
• IPTV configuration & TV channels management.
• CCTV configuration & maintenance.
• Hafele door lock management & maintenance.

Package

• Salary up to US$3,000 net per month depending on experience
• Local medical cover
• Accommodation provided in staff complex within walking distance of the property
• 21 days leave per year
• Annual flight home
• Single Status only
