Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Systems
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure (servers, cloud platforms, network, storage).
Manage enterprise systems including email, document management, CRM, portfolio management software, and financial modelling tools.
Ensure high system availability, performance monitoring, and disaster recovery readiness.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies in line with best practices (ISO, NIST, etc.) and DIFC requirements.
Monitor, assess, and mitigate security risks, including penetration testing and incident response.
Manage user access controls, endpoint protection, and secure communication systems.
Ensure data protection, privacy, and regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Vendor & Project Management
Manage relationships with external IT vendors, MSPs, and SaaS providers.
Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and ensure service delivery meets business needs.
Lead IT-related projects, including system upgrades, cloud migrations, and process automation.
User Support & Training
Act as primary escalation point for IT issues across the firm.
Provide training and support to investment and operations teams on IT tools and systems.
Build a culture of cybersecurity awareness across employees.
Strategy & Innovation
Align IT strategy with Magellan's business objectives, ensuring technology supports investment and operational excellence.
Drive digital transformation initiatives including cloud adoption, workflow automation, and data analytics.
Explore emerging technologies (AI, automation, data visualization) to enhance decision-making and efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
7-10 years of IT experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role, preferably within financial services, private equity, or asset management.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure/ AWS, networking, and enterprise IT systems.
Proven experience in cybersecurity management and IT compliance.
Vendor and project management skills with ability to deliver under tight timelines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; able to interact with senior leadership and regulators.
Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-driven with a strong sense of ownership.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED9,000.00 per month
