Location: Dubai, UAE | Full-time | Open to candidates from India
We are hiring on behalf of our client, a leading company in the freight forwarding and logistics sector, for an experienced Assistant IT Manager to support and enhance IT infrastructure while driving digital transformation. The role reports directly to the CEO and offers the opportunity to integrate AI-powered solutions into operations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily IT operations to ensure stability, security, and efficiency across the business.
• Oversee design, deployment, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems specific to freight forwarding and logistics.
• Work closely with the CEO to align IT strategies with business objectives and growth plans.
• Identify, evaluate, and implement AI-based tools to automate processes and improve decision-making.
• Lead IT projects, manage budgets, and coordinate with external vendors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain compliance with cybersecurity protocols, data protection standards, and industry best practices.
• Provide training and support on IT systems and AI-driven platforms.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• 10+ years experience in IT management or assistant management, ideally within freight forwarding/logistics.
• Proven exposure to AI integration, automation tools, and data analytics platforms.
• Knowledge of freight forwarding ERP/TMS systems, networking, and cloud solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and project management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills for working with senior stakeholders.
