Job Description

Position: IT Manager for QSR : As an IT Manager for QSR, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage all aspects of the restaurant's information technology systems and infrastructure. You will play a vital role in ensuring that technology resources are effectively utilized to support the business operations, enhance customer experience, and maintain data security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, marketing, and external vendors, to align IT strategies with the overall business objectives. Responsibilities: 1. IT Infrastructure Management: ? Plan, implement, and maintain the restaurant's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and servers. ? Monitor and manage system performance, availability, and security to ensure optimal functionality and data protection. ? Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and systems that can improve operational efficiency and productivity. 2. Technical Support and Troubleshooting: ? Provide technical support to end-users, including restaurant staff, for hardware, software, and network-related issues. ? Troubleshoot and resolve IT problems promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions in operations. ? Develop and maintain IT support documentation, including standard operating procedures and troubleshooting guides. 3. Data Management and Security: ? Ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of restaurant data through appropriate security measures and backup procedures. ? Implement data protection protocols and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical systems and information. ? Stay updated on data privacy regulations and ensure compliance with relevant laws and industry standards. 4. System Integration and Vendor Management: ? Oversee the integration of various software systems, such as point-of-sale (POS), inventory management, and customer relationship management (CRM), to streamline operations. ? Manage relationships with external IT vendors and service providers, including contract negotiation, service level agreements (SLAs), and vendor performance evaluation. 5. IT Strategy and Project Management: ? Collaborate with senior management to define the IT strategy and roadmap aligned with the business goals and objectives. ? Lead and manage IT projects, including system upgrades, new implementations, and technology initiatives. ? Develop project plans, allocate resources, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion within budget. 6. Training and User Education: ? Conduct training sessions and create user guides to educate restaurant staff on the proper use of IT systems and tools. ? Promote IT best practices and cybersecurity awareness among employees to mitigate risks and maintain data integrity. Requirements: ? Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). ? Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the QSR industry. ? Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and network architecture. ? Proficiency in POS systems, back-office software, and other restaurant-related technologies. ? Experience in managing data security, backup, and disaster recovery plans. ? Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to IT and data privacy. ? Project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and deliver IT projects on time and within budget. ? Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. ? Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage vendor relationships. As an IT Manager in QSR, monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) is essential for assessing the effectiveness of your IT operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of technology systems. Here are KPIs for an IT Manager to achieve: 1. System Uptime and Availability: ? System Downtime: Measure the amount of time systems are unavailable or experiencing disruptions. ? System Availability: Monitor the percentage of time systems are operational and accessible to users. ? Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF): Assess the average time between system failures. 2. Incident Response and Resolution: ? Mean Time to Identify (MTTI): Measure the average time taken to identify an IT incident or problem. ? Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR): Evaluate the average time taken to resolve IT incidents and restore services. ? First Call Resolution Rate: Track the percentage of IT issues resolved on the first contact with the IT team. 3. Service Level Agreement (SLA) Compliance: ? SLA Response Time: Monitor and meet the agreed-upon time frame for responding to IT support requests. ? SLA Resolution Time: Ensure IT issues are resolved within the agreed-upon time frame specified in SLAs. ? SLA Achievement: Assess the overall compliance with SLAs for various IT services provided to the business. 4. User Satisfaction: ? User Satisfaction Surveys: Conduct periodic surveys to gauge user satisfaction with IT services and support. ? Customer Support Ratings: Collect feedback from end-users on the quality and responsiveness of IT support. ? User Adoption Rates: Measure the adoption and utilization of new IT systems and tools by end-users. 5. Security and Data Protection: ? Security Incident Response Time: Track the time taken to respond to and resolve security incidents. ? Number of Security Incidents: Monitor and minimize the occurrence of security breaches or incidents. ? Data Backup and Recovery: Ensure regular and successful data backups and evaluate recovery time in case of data loss. 6. Cost Management: ? IT Budget Variance: Assess the variance between the planned IT budget and the actual expenses. ? Total Cost of Ownership (TCO): Evaluate the overall cost of IT systems and infrastructure over their lifecycle. ? Return on Investment (ROI): Measure the effectiveness and financial impact of IT investments and projects. 7. Project Management: ? Project Delivery Time: Monitor and ensure IT projects are completed within the agreed-upon time frame. ? Project Budget Adherence: Track and control project expenses to stay within the allocated budget. ?
