Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Administrator & Infrastructure Manager to oversee and manage our IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability across all technology systems. This role will involve both strategic and operational responsibilities, including the administration of network systems, hardware, software, security measures, and technical support. You will be responsible for maintaining and evolving our IT systems while ensuring that our technology supports the company's growth and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management: Oversee and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, network devices, data storage, and backup systems. Manage virtual and physical environments to ensure high availability and scalability. Implement, manage, and support cloud-based services and on-premises solutions. Monitor and optimize system performance to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency. Security & Compliance: Develop and implement IT security policies and protocols, including firewalls, encryption, and vulnerability management. Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, etc.). Manage user access controls, permissions, and identity management systems. Network Administration: Maintain and troubleshoot local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and cloud-based systems. Ensure proper configuration, monitoring, and optimization of network systems for seamless connectivity. Technical Support: Provide technical support for end users, assisting with hardware and software issues, and resolving problems in a timely manner. Coordinate with third-party vendors for specialized support and maintenance. Create and maintain documentation related to IT systems and troubleshooting guides. Project Management & Strategy: Lead and participate in IT infrastructure projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new deployments. Collaborate with leadership to align IT infrastructure strategies with business goals and objectives. Stay up to date on the latest technologies and industry trends to continuously improve infrastructure capabilities. Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Manage data backup systems and conduct regular testing of recovery procedures. Team Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with other departments to ensure technology needs are met. Mentor and guide junior IT team members, providing training and fostering professional growth.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience (5+ years) as an IT Administrator, Systems Administrator, or similar role with a strong focus on infrastructure management. In-depth knowledge of server management, network systems, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure). Strong experience with security protocols, firewalls, encryption, and identity management. Proficiency in networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs). Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Experience with monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and documentation management. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). Experience with Linux/Unix systems administration. Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.) to automate tasks. Strong project management skills and experience managing cross-functional teams. Knowledge of ITIL or similar frameworks.
