Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused
IT Help Desk Support L1
technician to provide front-line technical assistance, troubleshoot system and network issues, and support end users in hardware and software-related concerns. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Windows environments, excellent communication skills, and hands-on experience with end-user computing (EUC) tools and ITIL processes.
Key Responsibilities
Manage desktop devices (hardware, software, and connectivity) incidents through to resolution.
Provide desk-side support, IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) services, and troubleshooting for laptops and desktops.
Perform hard and soft break-fix services for hardware and software components.
Support and maintain standard operating systems and office applications for end users.
Manage configuration, patch updates, and hardware replacements for desktop systems.
Monitor security compliance, antivirus status, and system performance across all devices.
Assist with remote management and monitoring tools for system health and maintenance.
Analyze service desk calls and incident data to recommend user training or automation improvements.
Provide VIP and on-site IT support as required.
Maintain asset records, spares, and buffer stock according to ITIL standards.
Coordinate with other IT teams for escalations and problem resolution.
Skills & Requirements
Proven experience providing Level 1 IT or desktop support.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 7/10/11).
Good to have: Knowledge of Active Directory, smart hands and feet support, and MAC device management.
Familiarity with remote support tools, ServiceNow (or similar ticketing systems).
Understanding of MS Office, Outlook, VPN, and mobile device support.
Basic knowledge of ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem, Service Request).
Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
Associate degree or diploma in IT/Electronics required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
Experience supporting hybrid or remote user environments.
Knowledge of Microsoft Teams / Lync, and basic networking.
Ability to work independently and under pressure.
Familiarity with automation or monitoring tools.
