IT Help Desk Engineer - POS Support - Sharaf DG - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
Sharaf DG is hiring an IT Help Desk Engineer with expertise in POS installation and end-user support to ensure seamless IT operations across retail outlets and head office. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting POS systems, desktops, and laptops, as well as providing Level 1 and Level 2 IT support. A valid UAE driving license and personal vehicle are mandatory.

Job Details

  • Install, configure, and maintain POS terminals at cashier stations across multiple retail stores
  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 help desk support for desktops, laptops, printers, and POS systems
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to end-user devices and peripherals
  • Respond to and resolve IT support tickets promptly, maintaining proper documentation of incidents
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams for hardware replacements, upgrades, and repairs
  • Conduct routine checks to ensure system readiness and compliance with IT standards
  • Support IT asset management, including inventory tracking and documentation
  • Travel to retail locations across the UAE to provide on-site support when required
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline
  • 4-5 years of proven experience in IT support and POS system installation
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, networking fundamentals, and endpoint security practices
  • Familiarity with retail IT environments and cashier terminal operations
  • Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and deliver under pressure
  • Valid UAE driving license and personal car - mandatory
