Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled

IT Field Support Technician

to handle on-site installation, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure and surveillance systems across our restaurant and retail locations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with

structured cabling, CCTV setup, and network device configuration

, ensuring reliable IT operations at all branches.

Key Responsibilities:

Network & Cabling:

Install and manage structured cabling systems (CAT6 and Fiber Optic) for new and existing sites. Perform crimping, patching, and termination of network cables. Conduct cable routing, labelling, and testing to ensure connectivity and compliance with standards. Install and configure network points, patch panels, and keystone jacks. Install, organize, and maintain IT racks, including switches, routers, firewalls, and patch panels. Work with Fiber optic splicing, termination (LC/SC/ST), and testing tools.

Networking Equipment Setup:

Deploy and manage network switches, routers, and patch panels. Support wireless access points (WAPs), PoE devices, and VoIP systems. Configure and troubleshoot networking devices and connections. Install and configure network racks, cabinets, and cable pathways.

Hardware & System Support:

Set up and maintain workstations, POS terminals, printers, access control systems, and Wi-Fi access points. Diagnose and resolve network and hardware-related issues. Coordinate with IT and vendors for upgrades or troubleshooting.

CCTV & Security Systems:

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot CCTV systems and cameras (IP & Analog). Configure DVRs/NVRs and ensure optimal camera positioning and connectivity. Run and terminate CCTV cabling for efficient surveillance coverage.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain site visit reports, equipment checklists, and network documentation. Follow safety standards and ensure clean, well-labelled installations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 2-5 years of hands-on experience in IT field support or network cabling. Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, and structured cabling standards. Experience in fiber optic handling, splicing, and testing preferred. Basic understanding of switches, routers, Wi-Fi configuration, and CCTV systems. Ability to read network layouts and wiring diagrams. Good communication and reporting skills. Valid UAE driving license mandatory
