The Role

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Engineer to take ownership of our corporate digital signage ecosystem. In this role, you will be the go-to expert for everything from the backend content management system (CMS) and network infrastructure to the front-end displays and media players. You will ensure our digital signs are reliable, impactful, and technically sound, providing a seamless experience for our users and audiences.

Key Responsibilities

System Management:

Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot all components of the digital signage system, including:

Software:

Content Management Systems (Vnnox cloud, Broadsign, colorlight cloud)

Hardware:

Media players (Intel NUC), LCD/LED displays, touchscreens, and peripherals.

Network:

Ensure secure and reliable connectivity for all devices, managing VLANs, firewalls, and bandwidth requirements.

Content & Playback Support:

Collaborate with the Marketing and Content teams to schedule content, create playlists, troubleshoot playback issues, and ensure content displays correctly across various screen formats and layouts.

Monitoring & Proactive Maintenance:

Implement monitoring solutions to track system health, uptime, and performance. Perform regular updates, patches, and preventative maintenance to minimize downtime.

Project Leadership:

Lead the technical execution of new digital signage deployments, expansions, and technology upgrades, from planning and procurement to installation and commissioning.

User Support & Training:

Provide second-line support for any digital signage-related issues. Create documentation and provide basic training for content editors and other stakeholders.

General IT Duties:

Fulfill standard IT engineering responsibilities, including endpoint management, network support, and systems administration, as required.

What We're Looking For (Qualifications & Experience)

Required:

Proven experience (6+ years) in a hands-on IT support or engineering role.

Direct, hands-on experience supporting and administering a enterprise-grade digital signage platform

(Vnnox, Broadsign, Interactive). Strong understanding of network principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs) and experience troubleshooting network-related issues for IoT devices. Proficiency with Windows,Mac and Linux operating systems. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a methodical approach to troubleshooting. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.

Highly Desirable:

Experience with popular digital signage hardware (Broadsign, Samsung, LG, Cisco). Basic knowledge of content creation principles (e.g., understanding aspect ratios, image/video formats, HTML5). Experience with APIs and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation and integration. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, BroadSign Certified Engineer, specific CMS certifications).
