Job Description

Installation & Configuration

: Install, configure, and integrate various IT components essential for CCTV systems, including servers, storage solutions, networking equipment, and security software to ensure seamless functionality.

System Maintenance

: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of IT infrastructure related to CCTV systems, including servers, network equipment, and storage devices, to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.

Compliance

: Ensure all installations, configurations, and IT practices meet the standards set by SIRA and other relevant regulatory bodies, following best practices for data security and system integrity.

System Testing

: Conduct system testing and commissioning to validate the functionality of networked CCTV components, ensuring that video feeds, storage, and other IT elements work cohesively and efficiently.

Documentation

: Maintain detailed records of configurations, network diagrams, service requests, and performance logs. Prepare documentation and reports for regulatory compliance and internal audits as required by SIRA or the employer.

Customer Support

: Provide IT-based technical support to clients, addressing concerns related to connectivity, software issues, and system reliability, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction.

Training & Guidance

: Train end-users on accessing video feeds, managing storage, and using relevant software tools, offering guidance on IT security best practices for CCTV systems.

Coordination

: Work closely with security engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that IT requirements for CCTV installations align with project specifications and timelines.

Network Security

: Implement network security measures to protect CCTV systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats, including firewall configuration, access controls, and regular vulnerability assessments.

Site Surveys

: Conduct site assessments to understand the IT infrastructure needs for CCTV installations, recommending appropriate networking, storage, and server solutions based on project scope and client requirements.

Emergency Response

: Provide on-call support for IT-related issues in CCTV systems, ensuring rapid resolution of urgent connectivity or server problems to maintain system functionality.
