Job Summary:

The IT Engineer is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting the organization's computer systems, networks, hardware, and software. This role ensures optimal system performance, data security, and high availability of IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems, including servers, workstations, and networking equipment. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues across the organization. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Ensure data backup and disaster recovery systems are working effectively. Monitor system performance and maintain IT security protocols. Provide technical support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues. Maintain inventory of IT assets, software licenses, and documentation. Assist in IT project planning and implementation. Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and best practices. Collaborate with vendors and third-party service providers when needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role. Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and operating systems (Windows/Mac). Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, AWS, or Azure) is a plus. Familiarity with cybersecurity practices and tools. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco) are preferred.
