Job Summary:
The IT Engineer is responsible for effective provisioning, installation or configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.

Major Responsibilities:

• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot Windows Client OS and macOS.
• Install, upgrade, support and troubleshoot desktop applications, like Adobe Acrobat, Skype, Antivirus Software, etc.
• Microsoft Office suite and Office365 configuration and troubleshooting.
• Assist in administering Windows Server and the main server roles of Active Directory, File Server, Print Server, DNS, DHCP, WSUS, etc.
• Monitoring and recording the system utilization parameters (CPU, memory, disk space, etc.) and reporting/fixing any issue accordingly.
• Assist in installing, upgrading, support and troubleshoot computers, printers, projectors, IP Cameras, switches, WAPs, UPS, etc.
• Perform general preventative maintenance and remedial repairs to computers, laptops and printers.
• Responsible for the daily monitoring of backups and scheduled tasks.
• Familiarize end-users on basic software, hardware and peripheral device operation.
• Provide L1/L2 support and escalate whenever needed.
• Works with other IT team members on troubleshooting, upgrades and deployments for internal operations.
• Keep the records of all the activities, upgrades, inventory and transactions related to IT department.
• Responsible for IT equipment physical placement, inventory and documentation.
• Manage information technology and computer systems.
• Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
• Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems.
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
• Preserve assets, information security, and control structures.
• Planning, designing, implementing, testing, maintaining, upgrading, and support of IT infrastructure hardware, software, and services (whether by direct hands-on or through coordination with 3rd parties), like Servers, Storage, UPS, Switches, Firewalls, CCTV, Time Attendance Machines, Data Backup Software\xe2\x80\x99s, ERP Solutions, Active Directory, File Sharing, WSUS, Print Server, ONS, DHCP, VPN, Virtualization, etc.
• Administering the email system, web hosting, domain registration, and ISP services including Internet, fax, TV Cable, and IP Telephony.
• Monitoring and recording the system utilization parameters (CPU, memory, disk space, etc.) and reporting/fixing any issue accordingly.
• Performing and monitoring the data backup jobs to assure data protection and performing data restoration whenever needed.
• Maintaining the information security by suggesting security policy enhancements and enforcing applying the same, and by keeping the following up to date: system patches, anti-virus signatures, firewall firmware.
• Direct coordination with vendors and service providers, like; Microsoft, Dell, Symantec, ESET, ZOHO, and GoDaddy for support or new requirements.
• Assist in the design, planning, execution, and procurement process for IT-related projects/tenders.
• Suggest IT Documentation enhancements and enforce applying IT Operations processes, procedures and policies.
• Submitting IT purchase requests to the Head of IT.
• Managing IT documents & software/hardware inventory.
• Providing direct Desktop Support to Management (Chairman, CEO & VP).
• Any other work-related task that may arise as per the HoD instructions.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge in problem-solving desktop hardware and software problems and user-related problems.
• Strong knowledge of PC-related Hardware.
• Strong knowledge of Printers and network devices.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS including Windows 7, 8, and 10 and Apple macOS
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Skype for Business, Teams, SharePoint and OneDrive
• Working knowledge of Backup Solutions.
• Working knowledge of Antivirus solutions.
• Working knowledge of virtualization solutions Hyper-V.
• Working knowledge of Cisco VoIP phones and Android and iOS platforms.
• Working knowledge of video conferencing hardware and software.
• Working knowledge of Office 365.

Minimum Educational Qualification:
Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or similar relevant field

Minimum Experience: 3-5 Years UAE
Monthly Salary: AED 5,000 - 6,000
