Role Summary
The IT Audit Manager performs and leads end-to-end IT audit engagements, from planning through execution and reporting, while supervising audit teams and ensuring adherence to professional internal audit standards. The role supports enterprise risk assessments, development of risk-based audit plans, and continuous improvement of IT governance, risk management, and control frameworks across ADNOC Group.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute IT internal audit engagements from pre-planning to closure
  • Apply risk and control concepts to complex IT and OT environments
  • Support periodic enterprise risk assessments with focus on IT risks
  • Contribute to development of the Annual Audit Plan based on risk assessments
  • Maintain and update the IT audit universe covering all material IT risks
  • Develop detailed audit programs and Risk and Control Matrices for assigned audits
  • Determine appropriate audit techniques including data analytics, IS audit tools, and sampling
  • Supervise IT auditors and ensure audit work meets ADNOC quality and professional standards
  • Maintain complete and accurate working papers in the Audit Management System
  • Evaluate adequacy and effectiveness of IT governance, risk management, and control processes
  • Review and follow up on management action plans and corrective actions
  • Prepare clear and professional audit reports with conclusions and recommendations
  • Recommend practical enhancements to IT governance and control environments
  • Support reporting to Senior Management and Audit Committee on audit outcomes and key risks
  • Assist with Audit Committee coordination, agendas, and minutes as required
  • Conduct workshops and awareness sessions on internal audit and governance
  • Coordinate with external auditors, assurance providers, and regulatory bodies
  • Support development of Group IT audit methodology, charters, and governance frameworks
  • Mentor, train, and develop junior audit staff
  • Contribute to budget preparation, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE, sustainability, and code of practice requirements
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Finance, Auditing, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in IT internal auditing, preferably within oil and gas operations
  • Mandatory IT audit certification: CISA
  • Additional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC are preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IT audit and governance frameworks including ITAF, COBIT, ITIL, ISO 27000, and NIST
  • Awareness of Operational Technology systems and industrial control environments
  • Strong experience in auditing infrastructure, ERP systems, access management, and change management
  • Advanced data analytics and audit tools expertise
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
