Jacobs is supporting a Government organisation to help modernize and develop its communications network and part of this strategy is the implementation of a Nationwide Fibre Network. This includes the supply, installation and design of fibre optic projects at multiple locations (Central, East and West) within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The IT Architect will support the SANGCOM Team in the following areas:
  • Enterprise Architecture Management to support the translation of the Customer’s business vision and strategies into effective enterprise change; and to ensure the continuing alignment of IS/IT services provision to the Customer’s business objectives
  • Solution Architecture Management, to support the delivery of specific change projects; to review architecture decisions and migration plans to identify efficiencies and advance standardisation; to ensure the solutions align to the architecture and technology principles, policies, standards and reference models defined by Enterprise Architecture Management processes; and capture and manage exceptions
  • Deployed Architecture Management, to provide an up to date, consistent baseline of information about the provision of the End to End Services; to contribute to the integrated change planning process from demand to delivery; and to ensure compliance with and alignment to the Customer's Enterprise Architecture.
Key responsibilities & experience
  • Develop and agree IT requirements.
  • Identify hardware and software requirements.
  • Organise workloads of the technical teams in the most efficient way.
  • Monitor progress of projects and ensure they complete on time.
  • Report progress to management.
  • Carry out some of the technical work as required.
  • IT systems health.
  • Advise on future IT developments to managers.
  • Enterprise Architecture Management.
  • Deployed Architecture Management.
  • ITIL Trained.
  • Knowledge of ITSM.
  • Knowledge of Network Monitoring System.
  • Experience in Network Operation Centres.

The post-holder will hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or similar, be ITIL trained, MODAF, ITIL Design phase, Enterprise and Solutions Architecture practitioner, have knowledge of ITSM.
