What You'll Do

  • Review, prepare, and issue invoices in a high-volume trading environment
  • Confirm and finalize trade settlements for securities, commodities, and derivatives
  • Manage discrepancies by liaising with traders, brokers, operators, and custodians
  • Monitor settlement status and ensure timely closure of pending transactions
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable activities, including chasing late payments
  • Reconcile vendor, broker, and bank accounts with internal financial records
  • Produce daily AR aging reports and monitor collection issues
  • Support financial close processes, reporting, and management KPIs
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT, and internal accounting standards
  • Collaborate with operations, market risk, credit, and product control teams to resolve issues
  • Assist in preparation of statutory accounts and financial reporting packages
  • Provide analysis and insights into business performance and trading results
  • Recommend process improvements for invoicing and reconciliation workflows
Candidate Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline
  • Chartered accountant qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, CFA) preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, including oil and energy trading sector exposure
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting standards, and statutory accounting practices
  • Hands-on experience with commodities trading and financial instruments in energy markets
  • Proven knowledge of corporate finance, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Proficiency in SAP and CTRM systems desirable
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work under pressure
  • Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage
