Job Description

Job Summary:
The Inventory Officer will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring efficient stock control, and optimizing warehouse operations. The role involves monitoring stock levels, conducting audits, and coordinating with procurement and logistics teams to minimize discrepancies and ensure smooth supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities: * Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to meet business demands.
  • Track inventory movement (receipts, issues, returns) using inventory management software.
  • Ensure accurate recording of stock transactions in the system.
  • Stock Auditing & Reporting:
  • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
  • Identify discrepancies, investigate causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare and submit inventory reports (stock levels, shortages, excesses, etc.).
  • Warehouse Coordination:
  • Organize and supervise storage of goods to maximize space and efficiency.
  • Ensure proper labeling, barcoding, and categorization of inventory items.
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for timely replenishment.
  • Quality Control & Compliance:
  • Inspect incoming and outgoing goods for damage or discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Maintain safety and hygiene standards in the warehouse.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Identify inefficiencies in inventory processes and suggest improvements.
  • Assist in implementing inventory control best practices and automation tools.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: 2-5 years in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, ERP systems).
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Certified in Inventory Management (CSCP, CPIM) or similar.
Work Conditions:
  • May require standing for long hours and lifting/moving stock.
  • Occasional overtime during audits or peak seasons.
