Our client is a well-established engineering firm which specializes in manufacturing, distribution and turnkey services across diverse industrial and commercial sectors including oil & gas, sustainable energy, manufacturing and healthcare.

As part of their growth, we are recruiting a UAE experienced inventory controller from the engineering sector to join their Jebel Ali operations.

The role is responsible for inventory accounting across the company by improving inventory accuracy, investing stock discrepancies, inventory management, creating item codes in INFOR ERP and carrying out periodic stock audits to maintain inventory levels and eliminate stock level discrepancies.

Candidates must have experience of managing high volume of SKUs (thousands of line items) and be an expert in stock management on an ERP system.

Role Summary

• Lead monthly stock checks and cycle counts; verify and compute data with a physical count of inventory and adjust errors in computations.

• Conduct analysis of inventory variances in raw materials, finished goods, purchase price, usage and labor rate.

• Analysis of weekly and monthly reports on consumption, shortages, depletion and overall inventory levels.

• Improve the processes and internal controls related to inter-company inventory across the company\xe2\x80\x99s manufacturing, wholesale, and retail businesses.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 6+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in engineering inventory management working with thousands of SKUs.

• Working knowledge of inventory and cost accounting; automated financial and accounting reporting systems.

• Expert in inventory reconciliation and discrepancies root cause analysis.

• Excellent analytical capabilities including Microsoft Excel skills and spreadsheet analysis techniques required with strong attention to detail.

• Experience of INFOR, WMS and Knowledge of is a strong advantage.

• Continuous improvement mindset to improve inventory accounting processes.

• Deep understanding of accounting and financial processes and an understanding of how materials and records flow through an organization.

Candidate Profile

• Currently living in the United Arab Emirates \xe2\x80\x93 must be able to live and work in Dubai.

• Fluent in English \xe2\x80\x93 must be able to read and write good English.

• Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills; professional appearance and behaviours.

Education

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree is mandatory.
