We have a job opportunity for a Instrumentation Technician in our highly skilled Shoeburyness team. The description below summaries the role and requirement. There will be potential travel to other QinetiQ sites.

Role: Instrumentation Technician

Education: -

A good standard of education with the relevant experience.

Qualification: -

An Engineering/HNC/ONC/Electronic Apprenticeship or equivalent experience.

Training: -

On the job training will be recorded using the standard form and included within this folder along with certificates received from any formal training.

Technical Knowledge: -

It is expected that the Instrumentation Technician would have a technical knowledge of trial activities and the process for obtaining relevant accurate data.

Operate and maintain Instrumentation equipment in accordance with Instrumentation Work Instructions and manufactures handbook and Quality system.

To work as a member of an instrumentation range team, setting up equipment, gathering data and ensuring all aspects of Quality system are adhered to for the production of Customer report in accordance with the Trials Conduct Document.

Skills.

Instrumentation data gathering.

Liaising with Customers and other range section personnel.

Compiling trials data and the production of Customer reports.

Experience.

Experience of various trial activities.

Experience of maintaining Instrumentation equipment.

Knowledge of Instrumentation processes and procedures.

Competence Required.

Operation of instrumentation data gathering equipment.

Maintenance of instrumentation data gathering equipment.
