James Fisher Strainstall (JF Strainstall) is a world leader in the development of innovative monitoring solutions to enhance the safety and performance of your assets. Our team is expanding in KSA primarily focussed on construction related testing and instrumentation. The company is involved with on-site measurement and testing during foundation works, all the way through to life cycle structural monitoring systems, including surveying and site surveys. We are seeking an inspiring and passionate instrumentation engineer or technician to join our team in KSA. Role and Duties We have both Engineers and Technicians options available and the candidate shall be involved with the installation and associated testing of our various systems for buildings, bridges, tunnels, excavations and highways. Tasks shall include but not limited to:

• Preparation of installation method statements
• liaising with client and operations manager on installation and testing schedules
• Carrying out the installation of various instruments, including inclinometers, temperature sensors, piezometers, strain gauges, vibration sensors, weather stations etc.
• System commissioning and data collection
• Reporting

Note: travel outside of Qatar to other GCC countries is expected in the future. This includes but not limited to: Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, India, UAE, Jordan and Egypt. Skills The candidate must:

• have previous experience in instrumentation with an engineering background
• have knowledge of total stations, surveying and leveling
• have experience with analog sensors (0-5v, 4-20mA etc.)
• be confident with low voltage systems (12-24VDC)
• be confident in liaising direct with the client and working on site
• have high levels of health and safety culture when working on construction sites
• have good knowledge of documentation preparation including risk assessment, method statements and installation reports.
• Competent in AutoCAD or other drawing package to full sets of design documents from scratch.
• be able to follow strict requirements with respect to timesheets and have good knowledge of document control for project work
• possess a local driving licence

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience
• engineering degree or other related qualification of instrumentation or electrical engineering
• Driving licence
• Fluent in English

Salary offer is gross inclusive of other allowances. Those with higher salary expectations holding a greater level of experience should apply and state their salary expectations and experience. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: ?3,000.00 - ?6,000.00 per month Education:
