Position Overview
Instrumentation and Control Supervisor in Abu Dhabi, UAE leads the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of electronic, pneumatic, mechanical, and analytical instruments across ADNOC Group's Oil & Energy facilities. This role ensures reliable plant control systems, ESD testing compliance, and safe execution of maintenance activities in line with HSE standards and permit to work procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise installation, maintenance, commissioning, and repair of instrumentation and control systems in operating areas.
• Participate in and oversee ESD system testing, plant shutdowns, and commissioning of new facilities.
• Monitor and guide technicians, fitters, and contractors to ensure safe and efficient execution of maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot control system issues and report major discrepancies identified during testing and emergencies.
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of workshop tools and testing equipment.
• Review maintenance logs, alarm and trip indexes, and fault reports to maintain accurate performance tracking.
• Assess spare parts inventory, forecast future requirements, and coordinate procurement of tools and materials.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC HSE guidelines, maintenance procedures, and process safety standards.
• Provide on-the-job training and competency development support to assigned staff.
• Participate in emergency response activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal Profile

• Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering, or Secondary School Certificate with vocational trade certification.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in repair and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems within large industrial plants, preferably in oil and gas.
• Strong knowledge of ESD systems, process control systems, and plant instrumentation.
• Familiarity with permit to work systems and safety compliance standards.
• Experience supervising maintenance teams in operational environments.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
