Instrument and Control Engineer - ADNOC Group - Abu Dhabi, UAE
Position Overview
This role provides technical expertise in all areas of instrumentation and control engineering and supports the development, review, and execution of engineering designs. It ensures interface alignment with technical departments, business units, operations, and contractors while maintaining the integrity and quality of I and C engineering deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare scope of work documents for external consultants and EPC contractors.
Review engineering studies and design work produced by consultants and ensure compliance with technical requirements and standards.
Review and approve drawings, specifications, and technical documents related to instrumentation and control design.
Perform design validation and optimization calculations.
Ensure the application of current technologies and value added engineering techniques throughout all stages of design work.
Provide input to engineering procedures, company standards, technical specifications, design philosophies, and engineering guidelines.
Coordinate with other discipline engineers and internal business units to gather technical requirements and manage engineering interfaces.
Provide technical authority support for resolving engineering issues.
Conduct technical reviews and evaluate vendor or supplier deviation requests submitted through project management consultants.
Supervision
Plan and coordinate daily activities to meet section objectives.
Train and develop assigned staff to improve competency and performance.
Budgets
Contribute to budget preparation and support implementation of approved plans.
Highlight any significant variances to support performance and cost control.
Policies and Procedures
Implement approved policies, systems, and standards to support execution of section work programs in line with company and international requirements.
Performance Management
Support the achievement of performance objectives in line with the company performance framework.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
Develop and implement tools and techniques that improve operational processes.
Identify internal process improvements based on industry best practices.
Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability
Comply with ADNOC HSE policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
Follow sustainability guidelines and international standards.
Reports
Provide inputs for section MIS and progress reports.
Internal Relationships
Regular communication with line managers, peers, and internal departments.
External Relationships
Contact with consultants, service providers, and government agencies as required.
Ideal Profile
Bachelor degree in instrumentation, electronics, or control engineering.
Minimum eight years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering within the oil and gas sector.
Strong understanding of engineering standards, documentation, and multidisciplinary interfaces.
