The

Heavy Earthmoving Equipment Inspector

is responsible for conducting thorough inspections, diagnostics, and assessments of heavy earthmoving machinery to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance with industry standards. The role involves identifying faults, recommending repairs, and ensuring quality assurance within the workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

Inspect heavy earthmoving equipment (excavators, bulldozers, graders, wheel loaders, dump trucks, etc.) for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues. Perform diagnostics and root cause analysis for equipment failures, providing technical recommendations. Conduct functional and operational tests to verify equipment performance before and after repairs. Ensure workshop repairs align with manufacturer guidelines and industry quality standards. Maintain detailed inspection reports and document findings accurately. Support mechanics and technicians with technical guidance on inspection findings. Assist in developing preventive maintenance schedules based on equipment assessments. Verify spare parts and components for authenticity and compliance with OEM specifications. Ensure compliance with company safety policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

Minimum

7 years

in inspecting heavy earthmoving equipment in a workshop or service center.

Technical Knowledge:

Expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Diagnostics:

Proficiency in fault detection tools and software.

Attention to Detail:

Precision in inspections, testing, and reporting.

Problem-Solving:

Ability to identify faults and recommend timely repairs.

Safety Compliance:

Strong adherence to workplace safety and industry regulations.
