What You'll Do

  • Perform on-stream and off-stream inspections in line with company procedures and HSE standards.
  • Conduct and interpret NDT techniques (UT, MT, PT, RT) to assess equipment and piping conditions.
  • Prepare inspection reports, welding control sheets, and documentation for review and approval.
  • Monitor repair and modification work, ensuring materials, welding, and coating meet specifications.
  • Support failure analysis and root cause analysis (RCA) activities.
  • Verify new materials for compliance with technical and certification requirements.
  • Participate in commissioning inspections, cathodic protection monitoring, and project handovers.
  • Coordinate with Operations for sample collection and maintain inspection records in the Maintenance Management System.
  • Supervise team members, ensuring proper training and knowledge transfer.
  • Drive innovation and process improvements in inspection practices.
Ideal Profile
  • Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgy Technology, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of inspection experience in static equipment and piping within oil and gas.
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC systems and international codes (API 510, API 570, API 653, API 579, NACE).
  • Hands-on expertise with NDT Level 2 techniques (UT, MT, PT, RT).
  • Knowledge of design, metallurgy, welding, and fabrication standards.
  • Familiarity with advanced NDT methods, inspection management systems, and rotating equipment is an advantage.
  • Strong planning, analytical, and technical reporting skills.
  • Knowledge of HSE procedures and best practices.
Professional Certifications
  • Valid Plant Inspector certifications (API 510, API 570, API 653 or equivalent).
  • Valid CSWIP/AWS welding inspection certification (preferred).
  • Valid NDT Level 2 qualifications (UT, MT, PT, RT or equivalent).
  • Valid Level-1 Coating Inspector certification (preferred).
