Summary Infrastructure Support Specialist - NEOM

POSITION SUMMARY

The incumbent will partner with Digital Infrastructure Services colleagues, in region and globally, to facilitate operational support of the Air Products enterprise computing environment, with specific responsibility for co-ordination of support for Infrastructure services at the NEOM GHE, KSA location. It should be noted this is a contract position.

Delegaton of work is from the incumbents supervisor/team lead, faciliatated using Air Products standard Incident, Change & Problem Management System (ServiceNow).

Responsibilities also include providing operational support and delivery for Digital Infrastructure services to Air Products staff and contractors located in NEOM GHE and, more broadly, as a part of a team supporting the GEMTE construction project specifically the IT infrastructure being installed at the main GHE plant. The candidate will also be expected to support other DT staff working on the NEOM program at different locations to cover holiday leave. . This will include co-ordination of support efforts by centrally located DT support teams, as well as, local liaison with the user community.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES

Provide incident response for Air Products Digital Infrastructure services, this includes, Standard PCs, printers, Plant Process Control PCs and Servers located at the site. Provide local co-ordination for issue remediation & deployments with other DIS teams located remotely. Primarily, but not restricted to PCs, network & wireless services. Provide local IT support, and maintain IT Standards including Safety for IT rooms within the incumbents of responsibility. Provide local IT support for voice services both fixed and mobile, including Tetra. Build Air Products standard desktops in the local staging centre, using the Global load process, should DIS opt to create a Deployment location. Provide information technology support for industrial control systems at NEOM construction projects . Provide network hardware upgrades and installations for Maintain Viability work where Network Technical Support would not be performing this role. To understand the reliance and inter-dependence of business applications and infrastructure services in the region.

SKILLS

Technically knoweldgeable and driven to learn new things. Must be highly motivated with good self-direction and initiative and work well in a remote team environment. Good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with all levels of people in the organization. Expected to work outside of normal business hours and weekends if required to provide technical support. NEOM work week is 6 days a week for 10 hours. Rotations are 6 weeks on with 2 weeks of vacation. The applicate will be expected to work the NEOM work week hours. Strong problem solving and customer service skills. Ability to assess and prioritise competing urgent issues. Flexibility to respond and adapt to new, different, or changing situations, requirements, or priorities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science, specialized training, certification, or equivalent work experience Good written and spoken English language skills. Proven work experience in desktop support or other IT infrastructure areas. Good Knowledge of PC clients including: Operating Systems (Microsoft)Windows 7 / Windows 10 - Required Network Connectivity (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN) - Required Remote Connectivity/SSL/VPN Printing - Queue setup, NW troubleshooting, HP hardware knowledge Software distribution/SCCM - Basic knowledge required MS Office Products, including Office/O365 Microsoft SCEP/Windows Firewall Virtual desktop infrastructure and/or Citrix Other desirable skills/knowledge: Familiarity with Industrial Control System (ICS). Knowledge of other IT infrastructure tools and services such as networks, servers, security and voice. Ability to work with strategic vendors, outside support/service providers and 3rd party vendors. Good understanding of ITIL processes used by Air Products (Incident, Change, Problem, etc.)
