Crown Hospital One Day Surgery is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Infection Control Nurse to ensure the highest standards of infection prevention and patient safety. The ideal candidate will monitor, implement, and enforce infection control protocols in compliance with DOH guidelines and international best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention and control (IPC) policies and protocols throughout the facility.
Conduct routine inspections, surveillance rounds, and audits to ensure compliance with infection control standards.
Monitor and report healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and provide data analysis for improvement.
Train and educate staff on IPC guidelines, hand hygiene, sterilization, disinfection, and outbreak preparedness.
Review and evaluate sterilization and disinfection procedures for equipment and instruments.
Oversee waste management practices, environmental cleaning protocols, and isolation procedures.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and department heads to enhance infection control compliance.
Investigate infection outbreaks and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain accurate documentation and prepare reports required for internal audits and DOH inspections.
Ensure availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Participate in quality improvement programs and safety committees.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Valid DOH Registered Nurse license
Certification or formal training in Infection Control (preferred).
Minimum 2-3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in infection control (UAE experience is an advantage).
Strong knowledge of DOH, CDC, and WHO infection control guidelines.
Excellent communication, observation, and auditing skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
Must Need Internationally Approved Infection Control Certification
