Job Responsibilities:

The Team Leader is responsible for providing direction, instructions, and guidance to a group of drivers and operatives in line with the organization's needs to comply with business objectives in the short, medium and long terms and in accordance with the terms of our various contracts and the Integrated Management System. Overall responsibilities, delegated authorities, and accountability

Main tasks

? Lead the flow of day-to-day operations.

? Use appropriate skills to improve service efficiencies.

? Train employees on task to work standards and proper safety handling.

? Provides needed information and demonstrates ability in how to perform certain work tasks to new employees in the same or similar positions.

? Set a good example for his/her team members by working safely and following Veolia rules and policy

? Communicate clear instructions with his/her team members.

? Listen to team members feedback.

? Monitor team members performance.

? Make his/her team members aware of their responsibilities.

? Make sure their team members follow the job safety plans.

? Understand their role in the event of an emergency and participate in emergency drills and exercises.

? Support their team to achieve their tasks and targets.

? Coordinate with Veolia employees to achieve the required tasks.

? Daily communication with colleagues in the commercial and operations teams.

? Recording duty times.

? Diligently perform any other reasonable work or related tasks at the request of his/her manager.

QHSE (Corporate Responsibilities)

? Understand, implement, and follow the Veolia/OSHAD QHSE policies.

? Report any HSE incident immediately as per VESE HSE procedures.

? Implement and coordinate QHSE procedures onsite.

? Follow the job safety plans and any other safety requirements (i.e. Permit to Work).

? Implements and encourages the behavioral based safety culture through safe job observations Never attempt to do the job in an unsafe manner which may adversely affect them, co-workers and/or the general public.

? Carrying out assigned tasks and duties in a safe manner, in accordance with instructions, and to comply with QHSE procedures.

? Consult seniors, if aware of any unsafe practice or condition, or if in any doubt about the safety of any situation.

? Obtaining and using the correct tools/equipment for the work and not to use any that are unsafe or damaged. All tools, equipment and personal protective equipment must be stored in good condition in the approved place after use.

? Using the correct personal protective clothing/equipment and follow the safety requirements and procedures. In particular, the employees with a responsibility of management will act in an exemplary manner.

? Reporting any accident, near-miss, dangerous occurrence or dangerous condition to their line management.

? Avoiding improvised arrangements and suggesting safe ways of eliminating hazards.

? Not participating in horseplay or place fellow employees in danger by their actions.

? Take initiative and always act in a professional and ethical manner.

? Represent VESE in a courteous, helpful and business-like behavior.

? Maintain an un compromised level of confidentiality and integrity related to all VESE information

Teamwork and Collaboration

? Maintain coordination and effective working relationships with VESE teams.

? Train, assist and develop VESE colleagues. (On job training)

? Participate in overtime tasks as required from time to time.

? Ensure that reporting is performed promptly and accurately.

? Produce and update reports within specified time as required.

? Report all relevant information to the department's manager promptly and accurately.

? Ensure effective and prompt communication at all times.

Technical Skills

? Good knowledge of waste management practices and hazards.

? General knowledge of Environmental hazards and HSE principles.

? Good command of written and spoken English and Hindi/ Urdu is a must.

? Excellent planning and organizing skills.

? Excellent workload and time management.

? Excellent report writing skills with attention to detail, correctness and accuracy with good use of English and technical terminology.

Requirements

Education and Experience Required Education Level

? Hold a relevant educational qualification from a well-recognized and reputable academic institution fit for the required job function. Experience

? At least 2 years of proven experience in the same position in industry

? Must be able to speak, write and read excellent English.
