Job Purpose: The Design Team Leader is responsible for the following the process of the design/engineering and pattern shop team. Such as processes of new product developments, technical inputs to design and engineering team, validation of designs with proper analysis tools, planning and executing the required tooling, ensure standards and quality of patterns, continual improvement based on the analysis. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the Feasibility of new product request in the basis of design and make report. Assign daily task to designers, tooling and pattern shop team. Checking and validating the new designs, designs modifications and design calculations. Co-ordinate with new product development and sampling. Maintain report and records relating of planning, designing, tooling, quality and sample production. Follow and ensure the design standard and timely submission. Technical clarifications to design/engineering team and pattern shop. Co-ordinate with tooling and designs. Co-ordinate with patterns shop and production as per plan. Follow and ensure the required tooling in required time. Create and issue tooling change/modification request as per engineering team decision. Create and ensure proper feeding to patterns. Ensure safety and 5S of pattern shop and team.
