Job Description

We are looking for a proactive, energetic and responsible Health & Safety Officer & Laboratory Technician.

MAIN TASKS:

Manage and handle all ISO related documentation, and certification.

Manage and handle all HSE related tasks at our factories.

Manage and handle our timber testing lab and related, documentation activities.

Must possess NEBOSH, and IOSH certification.

Responsibilities:

a. Support the development of Occupational Health & Safety policies and programs of the company

b. Advise and instruct all employees on various safety-related topics such as noise levels, use of machinery etc.

c. Conduct risks assessment and enforce preventative measures

d. Review existing policies and measures and update them according to legislation

e. Inspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or employees not using protective equipment while working

f. Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker's compensation claims

g. Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management

Requirements and skills:

a. Proven experience as safety officer on the same field

b. Knowledgeable enough of the potentially hazardous materials or practices

c. Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety

d. Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus

e. Must possess NEBOSH, and IOSH certification.

f. Excellent communication skills and proven leadership abilities.

g. Proficiency in preparing and implementing HSE plans and procedures.

h. Proficiency in reporting, documentation, and record-keeping for HSE compliance.

i. Experience in Wood/Timber Industry is a PLUS

j. With valid UAE driver's license - MUST

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
