Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, biryanis, and regional specialties.
Develop and refine recipes to enhance the menu.
Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation.
Manage kitchen operations, including ingredient sourcing, preparation, and inventory control.
Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in compliance with health regulations.
Train and supervise junior kitchen staff when required.
Work collaboratively with the Manager and kitchen team to optimize workflow and efficiency.
Monitor food costs and minimize waste while maintaining quality.
Requirements:
Proven experience as an
Indian Cuisine Chef
in a restaurant or catering setting.
Expertise in Indian cooking techniques, spice blends, and ingredient selection.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Culinary degree or relevant certification is a plus.
