Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, manage, and continuously improve the end-to-end incident management lifecycle including detection, triage, escalation, communication, and resolution tracking
  • Act as incident commander during major outages or high-severity incidents, coordinating technical teams toward rapid resolution
  • Govern on-call schedules, escalation paths, responder playbooks, and operational readiness
  • Integrate observability data from logs, metrics, and traces into incident management platforms to enable real-time, contextual alerting
  • Lead root cause analysis activities and ensure completion of corrective and preventive actions
  • Report incident metrics and trends, identifying opportunities to improve resilience, processes, and tooling
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for alert rules, workflows, contact rosters, and escalation trees
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and risk requirements related to incident response and system availability
  • Collaborate with monitoring, logging, and APM teams to align telemetry with operational response
  • Work with development, infrastructure, and support teams to embed alerting and incident best practices into SDLC and change management
  • Conduct incident simulations, on-call drills, and retrospective reviews including blameless post-incident analyses
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement across alerting and incident response processes
Ideal Profile
  • Significant experience operating alert and incident management platforms such as Opsgenie, Splunk On-Call, ServiceNow Event Management, or VictorOps
  • Strong understanding of routing rules, escalation policies, noise suppression, on-call scheduling, and alert deduplication
  • Proven expertise across the full incident management lifecycle including major incident leadership
  • Ability to run incident bridges, document timelines, and lead post-incident reviews and RCAs
  • Calm, decisive, and assertive leadership during high-pressure incidents
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with technical and business stakeholders
