Job Description
The Inboard Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and servicing engines, machinery, and related systems. The role includes planning daily work, checking equipment, ensuring spare parts are ready, and helping with inspections. It also involves coordinating jobs with technicians and responding to emergency repairs to keep operations running smoothly.
Job Role:
Prepare daily maintenance tasks and complete all related documents Inspect and confirm the condition of auxiliary machinery based on scheduled due dates Service inboard and outboard engines, generators, and gearboxes before their service hours are due Create maintenance job reports (MJR) for completed tasks Inform the coordinator to upload daily maintenance issues to the system Request required spare parts and tools ahead of time Make sure extra spare parts are available in case of breakdowns Coordinate and oversee all maintenance jobs, including work done by in-house or external technicians Check and ensure all safety equipment is working properly, and help with annual or regular inspections, certifications, and related paperwork * Be available for emergency maintenance support, including troubleshooting and handling both minor and major repairs
