MISSION AND RESPONSABILITIES
The Regional Analyst will act as the analytical backbone of the department, who will have to optimize the performance of Intermodal and Business Development, through the collection of vital business intelligence data (analytical studies, reports, building KPIs, dashboards, graphs, Market studies & etc.).
objective of the mission will be to leverage the available data to:
Inform the Intermodal and Business Development department about the current state of the business via crips reports and follow-ups
Provide quick, easy-to-digest access to insights about the regional Intermodal and business Development performances and generate valuable recommendations and corrective measures
Transform the collected data into actionable insights that will trigger specific actions and influence strategic business decisions
Closely collaborate with Cost Control, Commercial, Procurement, Logistics and Operations teams to develop effective initiatives and strategies that will optimize costs and commercial development
Building holistic Market study reports - based on independent research on regional markets
Capturing Market intelligence & Competition info to assist the management on Investment decisions for crucial Business development projects
Construct and deliver, detailed studies via reports on specific business cases - with regard to Management\'s situational requirements
Functions
Intermodal Performance follow-ups
Prime task to build and monitor important KPIs of Intermodal - Weekly / Monthly basis
Monthly Intermodal KPIs follow ups - such as Negative Margin, Transport Order creation delays & etc.
Periodic update of Block Train Performance, Agent haulage & Inland Market share info to the Regional and Head office management teams
Monitoring Carrier Haulage ratio & Carrier Haulage conversions
In coordination with DRO Procurement & Regional Intermodal Officer, attribute allocation percentage to vendors within the several corridors and boosting CEVA integration on TBL movements
Benchmarking
Build a benchmarking system aiming at keeping track of competition rates collected by the network
Segregate buying and selling rates
Further analysis to be done on transit clearance fees
Intermodal Data management
Regional in-charge of Intermodal systems- making sure all Local teams has access to precise Intermodal statistics (to act as a bridge between Local teams and HO teams)
Verifying the accuracy of the corporate data, via systematic investigation with Local teams
Financial KPIs & Agility Monitoring
Be in close contact with DRO Cost Control team
Monitoring of Intermodal Revenue, Margins and Costs
and Monitoring of Agility initiatives (Cost Savings and/or Cost Optimization)
Research & Studies on Business development topics
Prepare timely Market study on the DRO Scope countries and Intra Regional Markets - with regards to Market share, competition, commodities, and trading partners - should be updated
Perform Research studies on specific Markets and projects, in accordance with the business requirements and Management\'s interests
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a Higher Education/Postgraduate degree
Strong knowledge in data analytics, business intelligence, finance
Very strong analytical skills and must be numeric
Expert level of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Proven experience with data visualization tools & other business intelligence software (Qliksense)
Must be proficient in the use of the group standard information systems as well as be able to work with the entire Microsoft Office suite
Strong ability to distil complex data into easy-to-understand analysis with actionable recommendations
Extremely detail oriented and organized, highly quantitative and creative, passionate about using data to guide strategy
