Interior Design Site Inspector / ID Site Inspector

Interior Design Manager / Project Manager

Job Purpose:

The ID Site Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all interior design works on site are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines. The role focuses on site supervision, quality control, coordination with contractors, and compliance with design intent.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Supervision & Inspection

Inspect interior works such as partitions, ceilings, flooring, wall finishes, joinery, furniture, fixtures, and fittings. Ensure works are carried out strictly as per approved shop drawings, material submittals, and specifications. Conduct daily site inspections and report progress, issues, and non-compliances.

Quality Control

Monitor workmanship quality and ensure compliance with project quality standards. Identify defects, snags, and deviations, and issue corrective actions. Participate in snagging, de-snagging, and final handover inspections.

Coordination & Communication

Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants on site. Liaise with the Interior Design team to clarify drawings, details, and design intent. Attend site meetings and provide technical input related to interior works.

Material & Mock-Up Review

Verify materials delivered on site against approved samples and specifications. Inspect mock-ups and first-fix installations before mass execution.

Documentation & Reporting

Prepare site inspection reports, snag lists, and progress updates. Maintain records of inspections, approvals, and site instructions. Assist in preparing handover documentation related to interior works.

Health, Safety & Compliance

Ensure interior works comply with safety regulations and site HSE requirements. Report unsafe practices or conditions immediately.

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field. Minimum

3-5 years

experience in interior site supervision or inspection. Experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, or luxury fit-out projects preferred.
