to support marine construction, dredging, and offshore projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting precise hydrographic and geophysical surveys to ensure safe navigation, accurate positioning, and compliance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and execute
hydrographic surveys
using multibeam echosounders (MBES), single-beam echosounders (SBES), side-scan sonar (SSS), and magnetometers.
Conduct
bathymetric surveys
for dredging, pipeline routing, cable laying, and offshore structure installation.
Process and analyze survey data using software such as
QPS Qimera, Teledyne CARIS, Hypack, or EIVA NaviSuite
.
Produce detailed survey reports, charts, and maps for clients and regulatory authorities.
Ensure data accuracy and adherence to
IHO standards
and project tolerances.
Operate and maintain survey equipment, including
GNSS systems, RTK, and USBL
positioning systems.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and vessel crews to support marine operations.
Perform
pre- and post-dredging surveys
to calculate volumes and verify project completion.
Ensure compliance with HSE policies during all survey operations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma or degree in Hydrography, Geomatics, Marine Geophysics, or related field
.
Minimum 3+ years of experience
in hydrographic surveying, preferably in offshore, dredging, or construction projects.
Proficiency with:
Multibeam and single-beam echosounders
(e.g., Kongsberg, Reson, R2Sonic).
Positioning systems
(GNSS, RTK, USBL).
Survey software
(e.g., Hypack, Qimera, CARIS, EIVA).
Knowledge of
IHO standards
(e.g., Order 1a/2a) and QA/QC procedures.
Ability to work offshore/vessel-based on a rotational schedule.
Strong problem-solving and reporting skills.
