The Hydraulic Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining hydraulic systems and components in heavy equipment, machinery, and industrial applications. This role requires in-depth knowledge of hydraulic principles, troubleshooting skills, and hands-on mechanical expertise to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Diagnostics:
Conduct inspections on hydraulic systems to identify malfunctions or wear.
Use diagnostic tools and testing procedures to analyze system performance.
Interpret hydraulic schematics and blueprints for troubleshooting.
Repairs & Maintenance:
Repair and replace hydraulic components such as pumps, motors, cylinders, valves, hoses, and fittings.
Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
Flush and clean hydraulic systems, ensuring proper fluid levels and filtration.
Perform welding and fabrication if required for hydraulic system modifications.
System Installation & Testing:
Install new hydraulic systems and ensure proper calibration and functionality.
Test and adjust hydraulic pressure, flow rates, and system efficiency.
Verify equipment safety and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
Requirements
Minimum 1-2
years of experience
as a Hydraulic Mechanic (ready-mix or construction industry preferred).
Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, pumps, valves, cylinders, and motors.
Experience working with transit mixers, concrete pumps, and heavy-duty machinery.
Ability to diagnose hydraulic faults using tools and testing equipment.
Mechanical and technical aptitude with strong troubleshooting skills.
Basic communication in English (Arabic an advantage).
Physically fit and capable of handling workshop tasks.
