Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

HVAC Quantity Surveyor cum Estimator

to support our MEP project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, material take-offs, and BOQs for HVAC systems, ensuring competitive pricing and adherence to client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Review HVAC drawings, specifications, and tender documents for project estimation. Perform detailed quantity take-offs for ducting, chilled water piping, insulation, and equipment. Prepare and submit detailed cost estimates and tender submissions. Develop and maintain Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on drawings and site requirements. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes. Analyze and compare quotations, negotiate with vendors where necessary. Monitor project budgets, identify cost deviations, and propose corrective measures. Support the procurement team with technical input and material selection. Assist in value engineering exercises to optimize cost without compromising quality. Provide cost updates and progress reports to project managers.

Requirements:

Bachelor's/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in the UAE/GCC. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, materials, and installation techniques. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam). Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Excellent communication and time management abilities. Knowledge of local market pricing and industry standards.
