Human Resources (HR) Generalist
Department: Human Resources
Reports to: HR Manager or Director
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our team. This role is central to the entire employee lifecycle, from talent acquisition and onboarding to employee development and engagement. The ideal candidate will be a strategic partner to management, an advocate for our employees, and a guardian of our company culture and compliance. You will play a key role in fostering a positive work environment and supporting the organization's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:

  • Post job openings on relevant platforms and manage the candidate pipeline.
  • Screen applications and conduct initial interviews to identify qualified candidates.
  • Coordinate the entire hiring process, including scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and facilitating offer letters and onboarding.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee grievances and disputes, providing confidential counsel and effective resolution.
  • Proactively promote a positive and healthy work culture.
  • Develop and manage employee engagement initiatives, activities, and satisfaction surveys.
Training & Development:
  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct training programs to address organizational needs.
  • Track employee participation in development programs and maintain certification records.
  • Identify training needs in collaboration with managers and support the creation of individual development plans.
Performance Management:
  • Implement and manage the company's performance review system.
  • Assist and train managers in providing constructive feedback and conducting effective performance evaluations.
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends and development opportunities.
HR Administration & Compliance:
  • Monitor and report on employee attendance, providing regular reports to the Accounts/Finance department.
  • Draft, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and documentation in both physical and digital formats.
Strategic HR Support:
  • Participate in workforce planning to align HR strategy with business goals.
  • Analyze key HR metrics (e.g., turnover, time-to-hire) to provide insights and support data-driven decisions.
  • Support organizational growth and change management initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (typically 3+ years) as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment law.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruiting and interviewing techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
  • Experience with performance management software.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering training programs.
