Jumeirah Zabeel Saray is a luxurious beachside resort located on the west crescent of the iconic Palm Jumeirah in Dubai. The interior of the resort is inspired by the ancient palaces of Turkey and features hand-painted finishing, Turkish artworks and stunning murals inspired by the Golden Age of the Ottoman Empire. The resort offers 405 rooms and suites, 38 Royal Residences and the award-winning Talise Ottoman Spa, one of the largest and most luxurious spas in the Middle East.

The resort offers Sinbad\'s Kids Club complete with splash park, nightlife destination Zabeel Theater and a collection of diverse restaurants which offer a vibrant selection of culinary experiences. About the Job

An opportunity has arisen for a Director of Human Capital to join Human Capital department in Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

Purpose:

To deliver strategic, added value HC interventions at the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray.

To act as a business partner driving the achievement of hotel objectives and colleague engagement levels.

To lead the operational HC team in the provision of added value HC and Training excellence that makes Jumeirah a preferred employer whilst demonstrating commercial awareness.

Main Duties:

Responsible for Human Capital and Learning & Development P&L.

Responsible for Colleagues Restaurant P&L.

Responsible for Paramedic P&L

Provide leadership, direction and support to the HC team in order to increase knowledge, skill set and share best practice.

Develop and drive the SBU HC Strategy in line with Regional HC direction and monitor its execution to ensure achievement of the objectives.

Drive the continuous improvement agenda with particular focus on maximizing productivity, devolving HC responsibilities and building leadership capability through the senior and middle managements teams.

Ensure free flow of two-way communication between SBU HC and Regional HC and internal communications are coordinated to colleagues receive relevant and timely messages in an appropriate style and medium.

Plan & deploy the annual HC budget and capex process and ensure P&L\'s are well managed and monitored.

Propose changes to organizational structures using best practice organizational development principles to provide the most appropriate structure to support future growth and flexible labor.

Ensure National Development initiatives are well communicated and fully supported.

Consult on workforce planning activities in order to optimize staffing levels, productivity and service standards in the most cost-effective manner.

Regularly analyze and review HC statistics to identify trends so that attention can be directed to key issues and resources adjusted accordingly.

Manage senior management and key HOD appointments ensuring timely and effective recruitment and on-boarding.

Ensure the effective implementation of companywide Human Capital policies, procedures and practices in accordance with the company objectives and UAE legislative requirements.

Ensure Colleague Opinion Survey results are communicated, analyzed and action plans are developed and reviewed on a regular basis to improve colleagues working and living conditions.

Ensure One Team function is deployed effectively.

Advise and coach management on employee relations and performance management issues.

Ensure all activities in performance management process are effectively executed so that colleagues have the opportunity to participate, receive feedback and given opportunities to develop.

Coordinate & drive talent management process in order to ensure talent management is fully embraced and the benefits fully realized.

Regularly coach, mentor and support senior and high potential colleagues to identify individual strengths and development needs, develop and maintain effective relationships and encourage retention.

To plan, drive and deploy colleague recognition, reward and engagement activities.

Ensure training programmed and development opportunities are deployed at a consistently high standard, aligned with business needs and Jumeirah culture.

Ensure consistent standard of customer service, health & safety, good quality, nutritious and varied menus across colleague dining facilities.

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

Qualifications:

Educated to degree level or above in a relevant discipline with appropriate professional qualifications and up to date professional knowledge.

Experience:

At least 3 years in a position of direct responsibility for Human Resources Management.

Budgeting for large scale projects/operations.

Previous experience in a similar role highly regarded.

Skills:
